Central parts of the Sjusjøen area have been developed with main water and sewage networks, making connection to public water and sewage systems possible. Pihl is responsible for the development of the public water and sewage network at Sjusjøen and Kroksjølia.
In the inner areas, the current service is water taps where water is carried into the cabin, and for some areas, it is possible to apply for sewage to a sealed tank and/or greywater systems.

Notifications from Ringsaker Municipality
Ringsaker Municipality uses a notification system to alert owners of holiday homes in a geographic area in case of water shutoffs or other incidents. Contact information is retrieved from the Contact and Reservation Register of the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency. It is recommended to enter your mobile number and email address in this register. If you do not have a registered lease agreement, you should register in a supplementary notification register. Read more on Ringsaker Municipality’s website.
Sewage to Sealed Tank
Discharge to a sealed tank is only approved while awaiting the public sewage network to reach the property. An agreement must then be made between the cabin owner and Pihl, and this is sent to Ringsaker Municipality together with the application for a discharge permit.
Reference is otherwise made to municipal guidelines and regulations. This includes conditions such as the requirement that the system be connected to a publicly approved sewage line when this is installed in the area.
Leaseholders are responsible for ensuring that the road network from the public road to the sewage tank has the necessary accessibility and that the road has the necessary load-bearing capacity for emptying. By agreement with the landowner, they must prepare the road to withstand a tank truck for emptying and repair any damage.
