The risk of grass and heather fires will persist until the vegetation turns greener. In the lowlands, vegetation is beginning to emerge, but in higher areas, there is still a lot of dry vegetation following the snowmelt. Particularly dry logging areas are considered vulnerable.

We ask everyone traveling in the mountains to exercise great caution:

  • Avoid the use of open flames in forests and uncultivated land
  • Campfires are prohibited where applicable according to current regulations
  • Be careful with the use of disposable grills and anything else that can cause sparks
  • Ensure that cigarettes and other flammable waste are completely extinguished
  • Report smoke or fire to the emergency number 110

Even a small spark can cause major damage to nature, cabins, and wildlife.

We ask everyone to help reduce the risk so that we avoid unwanted incidents in the mountains.
