Pihl AS, represented by its manager, is responsible for the company’s processing of personal data. This statement contains information you are entitled to when data about you is collected, and general information about how we process personal data. Pihl AS’s basis for processing personal data will vary, but will consist of consent from the data subject or because it is legally mandated. Furthermore, it may be necessary to process personal data to fulfill an agreement with the data subject or to comply with a legal obligation. Consent to the processing of personal data can be withdrawn at any time.

About personal data and regulations

Personal data refers to information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This may include name, national identification number, address, phone number, email address, and IP address. All processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, storage, and disclosure, is subject to specific rules, including those in the Personal Data Act. The manager is responsible for ensuring that processing complies with the law’s regulations. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority supervises compliance with the law.

When Pihl AS collects personal data

We primarily process your data for one of these reasons:
– You lease/own a cabin plot
– You have requested processing or guidance in a building case
– You have requested a service that requires invoicing
– You are registered as a neighbor for measures requiring neighbor notification
– You have registered as a user of the payment solution for the road network
– You register as an interested party when purchasing a plot
– You use our websites
– You own or purchase shares in Pihl AS
– You apply for a job with us

What type of information do we collect and why?

Below is an overview of the information we register. We do not collect sensitive information.

a) Personal details
When you have an active customer relationship with us, your name, address, and national identification number are registered. An example of this is when you are registered as a lessee/owner of a cabin plot. This is necessary to document that you are the correct legal person.

b) Digital contact information
We register email address and phone number. This is to enable us to send you invoices, neighbor notifications, or other information by email, as well as for communication related to building cases or other inquiries. If you own shares in Pihl AS, registration of digital contact information is legally required.

c) Information we obtain through the use of our website
We process visitor information. This is information that the server automatically generates when someone visits our website. This typically includes which pages were downloaded, time, the page you came from, IP address, device type (e.g., iPhone), browser type, and operating system. Visitor information is used anonymously for the purpose of operating and further developing the websites.
If you fill in information in registration forms, we will also process the information you provide in these forms. This information is used to administer the services.
We also process your inquiries and feedback if you voluntarily contact us or provide feedback about our websites.
The information is disclosed to our supplier Dialecta Kommunikasjon AS, which hosts the Pihl AS websites. Dialecta Kommunikasjon AS uses Webhuset AS as a subcontractor for web hosting.

d) Information we obtain through the road payment system
Through the license plate recognition payment system, we may obtain information about passage times and images of vehicles. If you register a user account, your mobile number, vehicle registration number, country, email, name, and address are stored. Your national identification number is stored if you choose invoice as the payment method.

e) Information we obtain from other sources
We often collaborate closely with third parties (e.g., business partners, real estate agents, providers of technical services, payment services, and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics companies, search engines, and credit reporting agencies) and may receive information about you from them. This also includes publicly available information.

Sharing of information

Pihl AS shares personal data with others in some cases. Here are the main examples:

a) Collaborating partners or others we are obliged to provide information to
For example, Ringsaker Municipality, homeowner associations, or contractors performing services on our behalf. In such cases, Pihl AS will always ensure that the exchange is based on a legal basis, that confidentiality provisions are complied with, and that any necessary agreements are entered into.

b) When it is necessary to notify of measures
In some cases, we may disclose contact information to your neighbors. This is in connection with sending neighbor notifications for building cases.
If irregularities are observed at your cabin for other reasons, we may also provide contact information for notification. We only disclose publicly available information, such as name and address.

Deletion of personal data

We are legally obliged to retain certain personal data. Examples include: – The Accounting Act
– Order data according to the right of withdrawal
– Order data according to warranties.You have the right to have all our information about you deleted upon request, unless we are legally obliged to store it. To terminate your customer relationship, you can contact us via email at: post@pihlske.no.

Securing personal data

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal data (which is under our control) against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal.

Regarding marketing via email and SMS

If you have an active customer relationship with us, we may send you marketing via email or other electronic communication methods in accordance with Section 15 of the Marketing Act. This includes newsletters and other inquiries regarding content, services, offers, campaigns, or events from us, via email, phone, SMS, and social media.

If, however, you do not have an active customer relationship, we will only send such marketing if you have given us your consent. Your personal data may also be used to customize this communication. You can easily and free of charge unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time through the unsubscribe function in the emails/SMS messages.

Changes to the privacy policy

We may update or change the privacy policy periodically. We will inform you of any major changes.

Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in this case the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, in accordance with GDPR Article 13 (2) (d).
